ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a treatment called foam sclerotherapy for varicose veins, which are swollen and twisted veins that can cause discomfort and cosmetic concerns. The researchers want to understand how long patients should wear compression stockings after the procedure to get the best results. Compression therapy helps improve healing and the appearance of the treated veins. The trial is currently recruiting participants who are adults over 18 years old and have specific types of varicose veins, as determined by a medical classification system.
If you're eligible and decide to participate, you will receive foam sclerotherapy for your varicose veins and will be monitored to see how effective the compression stockings are for your recovery. Participants should not have any history of deep vein thrombosis or other conditions that could complicate the treatment, and they must be able to wear compression garments independently. It's important to note that while there can be some side effects, such as skin darkening, most tend to resolve on their own within a few months.
