ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is designed to find out if a special numbing spray, called lidocaine-prilocaine, can help reduce pain for postmenopausal women during a procedure called office hysteroscopy. This procedure is used to look inside the uterus when there are concerns like abnormal bleeding or unusual findings on an ultrasound. The study will compare the numbing spray to a placebo (a treatment that doesn't contain the active ingredient) to see which one is more effective in reducing pain and making it easier for doctors to perform the procedure.
To participate in this study, women must be postmenopausal and have a valid reason to undergo office hysteroscopy, such as unusual bleeding or findings from an ultrasound. However, women who have never given birth, have certain cervical issues, or who have had previous surgeries on the cervix may not be eligible. As the study is not yet recruiting, interested participants will have the opportunity to learn more about what to expect during the trial, including how the procedure will be done and what kind of care will be provided.
