ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on developing a new device that helps assess the risk of falls among older adults. The researchers want to compare how well this device works against traditional methods of assessing balance and fall risk, such as clinical tests. The goal is to make it easier for healthcare providers to use this device in hospitals and clinics to help keep older patients safe from falls.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be at least 60 years old and able to understand Cantonese, Mandarin, or English. They should also be patients in community clinics. During the trial, participants will take part in balance tests and complete some questionnaires about their health. Researchers will also collect information from their medical records and may take photos or videos during the assessments. It's important to note that those who cannot stand for 30 seconds without help or cannot give consent due to cognitive issues will not be eligible to participate. This study is currently not recruiting participants yet, but it aims to improve the safety and health of older adults in clinical settings.
