ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how reformer pilates exercises can affect the posture, core strength, and body awareness of healthy adolescents aged 10 to 19. The researchers believe that participating in reformer pilates will lead to better outcomes compared to a control group that will only receive information about healthy posture and exercise. If your child is between 10 and 19 years old, can read and write in Turkish, and is interested in participating, they may be eligible for this study. However, they cannot have had any orthopedic injuries in the last three months, be classified as obese, or be under treatment for scoliosis.
Participants in the trial will be assigned to either the pilates group or the control group and will be assessed over a period of six weeks. This means your child will either take part in pilates sessions or just receive educational support about posture. It’s a great opportunity for them to improve their physical health while contributing to important research on how exercise can benefit adolescents. The trial is currently recruiting participants, so if you're interested, this could be a chance to get involved!
