ClinConnect Summary
The I-InTERACT Preterm Parenting trial is studying how to better support parents of children who were born very prematurely (before 32 weeks of pregnancy) and who may be experiencing behavior problems. Researchers want to compare three different programs: a seven-session parenting program called I-Interact Preterm (I2P), a shorter version delivered through quick online lessons (I2P-Micro), and a group that will receive general internet resources about parenting. By looking at how these programs affect parenting behaviors, child behavior problems, and the stress parents feel, the study aims to find out which approach works best.
To be eligible for this study, caregivers must be at least 18 years old, speak English at home, and be caring for a child who was born very preterm and shows some behavior challenges. Participants can expect to take part in the program over a span of 12 weeks, with follow-up assessments six months after starting. This trial is currently recruiting participants, so if you or someone you know fits the criteria, it might be a great opportunity to get support and resources tailored for your family’s needs.
