ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "A Multi-domain Intervention for Healthy Aging," is designed to explore how engaging in various activities can help older adults maintain their cognitive abilities and overall well-being. The study is looking for participants aged 65 and older who live independently and do not have severe cognitive or functional impairments. The goal is to see if activities like physical exercise, singing in a choir, learning new things, and gardening can slow down the decline of thinking skills and help create positive changes in the brain as we age.
Participants will be involved in these activities for nine months and will be tested three times: before starting, right after finishing, and six months later. They'll also keep a weekly diary to track how much time they spend on different activities. The researchers will compare those doing music-related activities with those doing other activities without music, as well as a group that does not participate in any activities. This study is currently recruiting, and everyone is welcome to join!
