This clinical trial is studying a program called PORTiSOFIE, which is a type of therapy delivered online to help adults with social anxiety. The main aim is to see if this therapy is effective in reducing social anxiety and to understand how it affects people's relationships. Participants will either receive the therapy right away or be in a control group that will wait until the therapy is completed for the first group.

To join the study, participants need to be at least 18 years old, speak Portuguese, have internet access, and be in a committed romantic relationship. They should also show moderate levels of social anxiety but should not be receiving any other treatments for it, like antidepressants. Partners of participants can also join if they meet certain criteria. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it will provide an opportunity for those struggling with social anxiety to try a new therapy and contribute to important research on mental health.

Eligibility criteria

• Inclusion Criteria for participants:
• • Scores on the screening questionnaires indicating at least moderate levels of social anxiety.
• • Age 18 years or over
• • Fluency in Portuguese
• • Access to a device with internet
• • Be in a monogamous amorous relationship (regardless of sexual orientation)
• • Not be receiving any ongoing treatment for social anxiety (e.g., stable antidepressants).

• Exclusion Criteria:
• • Self-reported severe psychiatric disorders such as psychosis or personality disorder.
• • Planned or ongoing medical treatments (e.g., surgery) and other personal circumstances that will interfere with the treatment (e.g., planned travel abroad).
