ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how two types of baths—whirlpool baths and contrast baths—can help people who have developed complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) after breaking their wrist (specifically, the distal radius). The study aims to see if these treatments can reduce pain, improve daily functioning, and strengthen grip in patients with this condition.
To participate, you need to be between the ages of 18 and 70 and have CRPS type 1 after a wrist fracture that was treated without surgery. Unfortunately, if you have other significant injuries, previous surgeries on the same arm, or certain medical conditions, you won't be eligible. If you join the trial, you will receive one of the bath treatments and be monitored to see how it affects your pain and ability to use your hand. This study is currently looking for new participants, so it could be a great opportunity to explore new ways to manage your pain.
