ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how problems with the pelvic floor (the muscles and tissues that support the organs in the pelvic area) can affect sexual function in women with a condition called systemic sclerosis (SSc). Systemic sclerosis is a serious autoimmune disease that can affect the skin and other organs. The researchers want to understand the connection between pelvic floor issues and sexual problems in these women to improve their quality of life.
To participate, women must be between 18 and 64 years old, diagnosed with systemic sclerosis, and currently sexually active. They also need to not have gone through menopause. There will be a comparison group of healthy women of the same age range who meet similar criteria but do not have any chronic diseases or a history of certain surgeries. While the trial is not yet recruiting participants, those who join can expect to contribute valuable information that may help others facing similar challenges in the future.
