ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how the size of abdominal muscles, measured using special imaging technology called CT scans, affects the amount of a medication called rocuronium needed during surgery. Rocuronium is used to relax the muscles during surgery, making it easier for doctors to perform procedures that require deep muscle relaxation. By analyzing CT images, researchers hope to find a link between muscle size and the dosage of this medication, which could help improve patient care during surgeries.

To participate in this study, patients must be adults scheduled for elective colon surgery and able to give their consent. They should be in good overall health, classified as ASA class 1 to 3, which means they have minimal to moderate health issues. However, pregnant women, those with certain kidney problems, or individuals with a history of muscle disorders cannot join. Participants can expect to have their CT scans analyzed and be part of a study that may lead to better understanding and management of muscle relaxation during surgeries. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, so it's important to keep an eye out for when it starts.
