ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called the Caregiver Implementation Strategies Field Pre-Test, is designed to help caregivers support children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) symptoms, such as being overly active, having trouble paying attention, or acting impulsively. The study will test a special resource package that provides tools and strategies for caregivers to use behavioral interventions with their children. Caregivers who participate will work with their children and provide feedback on how useful and practical the resource package is, helping researchers prepare for a larger study in the future.
To be eligible for this trial, children must be in grades K-5 and have been nominated by a school staff member who has noticed that they struggle with ADHD symptoms. Specifically, the child must score a 3 or higher on a scale that measures their challenges in daily activities. However, children are not eligible if they are at immediate risk of harm, have an intellectual disability, or if their family does not have an English-speaking caregiver, since the study focuses on creating resources in English. Participants can expect to engage with the resource package and share their experiences, contributing to important research that could improve support for children with ADHD.
