ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to see if a telemedicine exercise program can help improve cardiorespiratory fitness—basically, how well your body uses oxygen during activities—and insulin resistance in Asian children who may not be very active. The researchers want to find out if kids who participate in this online exercise program can run more laps in a set distance and if their insulin sensitivity improves compared to those who follow regular activity recommendations, like tracking their daily steps.
To take part in this study, children aged 12 to 17 who are able to join physical education classes at school may be eligible. Participants will either join the telemedicine exercise program or follow the usual activity guidelines for 10 weeks. They will have check-ups at the clinic before and after the program to measure their fitness levels and take some blood samples. This trial is important because it could offer new ways to help kids improve their fitness and health through convenient online methods.
