ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on developing a special set of nursing care practices, called a care bundle, to help prevent pressure injuries, also known as pressure ulcers, in patients. Pressure injuries can be painful and difficult to treat, and they can lead to longer hospital stays and higher healthcare costs. The goal of this study is to improve patient care, lower costs, and enhance overall patient outcomes by using evidence-based methods that have been shown to work in the past.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be at least 18 years old, assessed as being at risk for pressure injuries, and expected to stay in the intensive care unit (ICU) for at least 24 hours without having developed any pressure injuries. Unfortunately, those who are younger than 18 or already have pressure injuries are not eligible. If you or a loved one participate, you can expect to be part of a systematic approach to care that aims to improve health outcomes and the quality of nursing care. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it promises to create a supportive framework for nurses and improve patient experiences in the future.
