ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different methods of pain relief for women who are having a planned cesarean section (C-section). The study will compare the satisfaction levels of patients who receive a type of pain block known as the Erector Spinae Plane block (ESP) versus another method called the Lateral Quadratus Lumborum block. The main goal is to see if the type of pain management used affects how satisfied women feel after their surgery. Additionally, the researchers will look at how these methods might influence the timing of when patients can go home from the hospital.
To join this study, participants need to be women who are scheduled for an elective C-section and meet certain health criteria, such as not having allergies to the medications used in the trial. Unfortunately, women with emergency C-sections or specific health issues, like bleeding disorders, cannot participate. Those who take part can expect to receive either one of the two pain relief methods and will be asked about their satisfaction and recovery after the procedure. This study aims to help improve pain management for future patients undergoing C-sections.
