ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called SBS DISK, is looking to create a new, simpler tool to assess the quality of life for patients with short bowel syndrome (SBS). Patients with SBS often rely on special nutritional support, which can affect how they feel and live their daily lives. While there are existing tools to measure quality of life, they can be complicated and hard to use regularly. The goal of this study is to develop a more user-friendly tool that makes it easier for healthcare providers to check in on how these patients are doing.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old, able to read and speak French, and diagnosed with short bowel syndrome. Unfortunately, individuals with known cognitive disorders won't be eligible to join. If you decide to participate, you can expect to help researchers understand how to better measure and improve the quality of life for those living with this condition. This is an important step in ensuring that patients receive the care and support they need.
