ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new tool called pediatric eCART, which helps healthcare providers identify children at high risk for serious health problems like cardiac arrest or sepsis. Researchers will compare data from three years before the tool was used to two years after, looking at up to 30,000 visits by pediatric patients. They want to see how effective this tool is and how well nurses like it when caring for patients.
To be part of this study, children under 18 who are hospitalized and scored using the pediatric eCART will be eligible. However, newborns and those who don’t meet the scoring criteria won't be included. Nurses at UW Health who use the eCART tool during their care will also be part of the study. The trial is currently not recruiting participants, but it aims to gather important information about this tool's impact on patient care and safety.
