ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the use of a specific eye drop called Zamidine® to help prevent infections in patients undergoing certain eye surgeries, especially those with a history of repeated eye infections known as conjunctivitis. Researchers are looking for patients aged 18 and older who are scheduled for various eye surgeries, such as cataract surgery or glaucoma surgery, and who have had recurrent conjunctivitis. Participants will need to provide written consent to join the study.

If you decide to participate, you can expect to have some swabs taken from your eye before and during your surgery to check for bacteria and other organisms. This will help the researchers understand how well Zamidine® works in preventing infections. Follow-up information will also be collected after your surgery to see how you are doing. Overall, this trial aims to ensure safer surgical outcomes for patients with recurrent eye infections.
