ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how changes in the gut, specifically in the way it allows substances to pass through, might affect the risk of blood clots and damage to blood vessels in patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), like ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. People with IBD are known to have a higher chance of developing blood clots compared to those without these conditions, which can lead to serious problems like heart attacks or strokes. The study aims to understand more about these risks to improve the care for IBD patients.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of IBD, whether their symptoms are active or stable. Unfortunately, those with other inflammatory diseases, pregnant women, or those under 18 will not be eligible. If you qualify and decide to join, you'll be contributing to important research that could help doctors better understand and manage the health risks associated with IBD. The trial is currently not recruiting participants, but it's an exciting opportunity for future advancements in treating IBD.
