ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how effective a specific teaching method called peer education is for training midwifery students in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM). EFM is a test that helps assess the health of a baby during pregnancy. The researchers want to find out if this method helps students learn better, feel more confident in their skills, and improve their ability to use EFM in real-life situations with pregnant women. The trial involves students receiving standard EFM training and then learning from each other in a supportive group setting.
To participate in this study, students need to be second-year midwifery students who are taking a specific course for the first time and have not received any prior EFM training. Those who volunteer and are present on the teaching day will be evaluated through tests and practical skills assessments. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to enhance the education of future midwives, ultimately benefiting expectant mothers and their babies.
