ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "One Up, One Down," is looking to understand how patients feel about the placement of tubing from cryotherapy machines, which are used to help reduce pain and swelling after certain knee surgeries. The study will compare two different setups: one where the tubing faces the patient's head and another where it faces the feet. Researchers want to find out which setup makes patients more comfortable and satisfied during their recovery.
To participate in this study, you need to be between 10 and 18 years old and scheduled for specific knee surgeries like ACL reconstruction or MPFL reconstruction. You also need to have access to a cryotherapy unit at the time of your surgery. If you join, you’ll experience one of the two tubing placements and share your thoughts on how comfortable you feel and how much pain you experience. This information will help improve the use of cryotherapy in the future.
