ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to see if the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) can effectively help identify depression in new fathers. As more fathers take an active role during pregnancy and after their child is born, it’s important to recognize that they can also experience feelings of sadness, anxiety, and identity challenges. The goal of this study is to confirm that the EPDS is a good tool for screening postnatal depression in French fathers, just like it is for mothers.
To participate, fathers must have a baby who is 10 days old or younger. They will complete some questionnaires online, including the EPDS, at the start of the study and again about 6 to 8 weeks after their child’s birth. This study is currently recruiting participants and aims to better understand how to support fathers during this important time. It's important to note that those who do not understand French well or are minors cannot participate in this trial.
