ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how people with systemic sclerosis (also known as scleroderma) respond to questions about physical symptoms when they are also being asked about feelings of depression. Researchers want to find out if the way these questions are presented affects how participants answer them. Specifically, they are interested in whether people score differently on questions about physical symptoms when these questions are asked separately from questions about their mood.
To participate in the study, individuals must be at least 18 years old, have a confirmed diagnosis of systemic sclerosis, and be able to understand English, French, or Spanish. Participants will complete a questionnaire that assesses their mood and physical symptoms, and they will be randomly assigned to answer the questions in different orders. The study is currently recruiting participants and aims to provide insights into how the context of questions can influence responses in people living with chronic conditions.
