ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a special rehabilitation program can help people with breathing and heart problems. The program aims to improve patients' ability to exercise, their quality of life, and their breathing after three months of participation. It is designed for people who have chronic lung diseases like COPD, asthma, or pulmonary fibrosis, as well as those with heart conditions such as heart attacks or chronic heart failure. To join the program, participants need a referral from their doctor and must meet certain health criteria to ensure they can safely participate.
If eligible, participants can expect to engage in a mix of exercises, including aerobic activities like walking on a treadmill or riding a stationary bike, as well as strength training for their arms and legs. They will also do special exercises to help improve their breathing. Throughout the program, health professionals will monitor their progress by checking their physical abilities and overall health. This study is important because it could help improve the lives of many people struggling with chronic respiratory and heart conditions.
