ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how different diets can impact people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which includes conditions like ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. Researchers want to find out which eating plans, such as intermittent fasting, the Mediterranean diet, and the Low FODMAP diet, can help manage symptoms and are easier for patients to stick to. The goal is to improve the quality of life for those living with IBD by understanding the benefits and challenges of these diets.
To participate in the study, you need to be an adult (18 years or older) with a diagnosis of ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease. You'll also need to be comfortable using a smartphone app and willing to follow a specific diet plan during the study. However, some individuals, such as pregnant women or those with certain medical conditions like diabetes or advanced kidney disease, will not be eligible to join. If you do participate, you can expect to receive guidance from a registered dietitian and to commit to following the study's procedures. This is an opportunity to contribute to important research that may help improve dietary options for others with IBD.
