ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a procedure called a percutaneous liver biopsy, which is a way to take a small sample of liver tissue to help doctors understand liver diseases in children. The main goal of the study is to find out what types of liver diseases can be diagnosed using this method in young patients. The trial will review liver biopsy reports from children under 18 years old who were suspected of having liver problems and were treated at Assiut University Children Hospital between January 2019 and December 2023.
To be part of this study, children must be under 18 years old and have had a liver biopsy during their hospital stay. Unfortunately, children over 18 or those suspected of having Wilson Disease will not be included because special tests needed to diagnose that condition are not available. While the study is not yet recruiting participants, it aims to provide valuable insights into liver diseases in children, which may help improve future diagnosis and treatment options.
