ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking to understand how certain non-drug treatments can improve sleep quality, reduce anxiety, and lessen delirium in adults who are staying in Intensive Care Units (ICUs). Delirium is a sudden change in mental status, which can be confusing and distressing. The study will involve patients who are awake and able to communicate, and who have been in the ICU for more than 24 hours.

To participate in this trial, individuals must be over 18 years old, stable in their medical condition, and able to hear and respond in a quiet voice. However, those with certain conditions like severe sleep problems, a history of alcohol abuse, or significant mental health issues will not be eligible. If someone chooses to participate, they can expect to engage in activities designed to help improve their sleep and reduce anxiety during their ICU stay. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, so more information will be available soon for those interested.
