ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of specific exercises on a movement problem called dynamic knee valgus (DKV), which can increase the risk of knee injuries. DKV occurs when the knees collapse inward during activities like jumping or landing. The researchers want to see if corrective exercises can help improve the way people move, which could prevent injuries. The study is looking for women aged 18 to 25 who have DKV but do not currently have any knee pain or injuries.
Participants in this trial can expect to engage in exercises designed to improve their movement patterns. The study will use motion analysis to monitor changes in their knee movement while they perform various tasks. It's important to note that individuals with a high body mass index (BMI), past lower limb injuries, or those who regularly exercise intensely are not eligible to participate. This research aims to better understand how to help individuals with DKV move more safely and reduce their injury risk.
