ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different surgical methods for performing a hysterectomy, which is an operation to remove the uterus, in women with non-cancerous conditions. The trial will compare a newer technique called Vaginal Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery (vNOTES) with the traditional vaginal hysterectomy (VH) to see which method has better outcomes, including how much pain patients feel after surgery and any complications that may arise.
Women between the ages of 40 and 80 who need a hysterectomy for benign reasons may be eligible to participate. However, those with a history of certain surgeries, suspected cancer, endometriosis, or other specific conditions will not be included. If you join the study, you'll be monitored closely during and after the surgery to assess your recovery and overall experience. This research is important as it aims to improve surgical options for women undergoing hysterectomy for benign issues.
