ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new online therapy called cognitive-behavioral couple therapy (CBCT) to help couples where one partner has Sexual Interest/Arousal Disorder (SIAD). This condition affects many women and can cause distress in their relationships and personal lives. The goal of the trial is to see if this therapy can improve sexual desire and arousal, as well as overall relationship satisfaction for both partners. Participants will be randomly assigned to either receive the therapy over 16 sessions or be placed on a waitlist.

To be eligible for the trial, one partner must identify as a cisgender woman, trans woman, or a gender-diverse person assigned female at birth, and both partners must be in a committed relationship for at least one year. It's important that both partners can speak English or French. Participants can expect to engage in therapy that focuses on improving their sexual and relationship health. This study is significant because it aims to provide a scientifically backed and accessible treatment option for couples facing this common issue, helping them lead happier and healthier lives together.
