ClinConnect Summary
The clinical trial titled "Discharge Education in Diabetic Surgical Patients" is looking to understand how personalized education at the time of discharge can help patients with diabetes who have recently had surgery. Specifically, the study will focus on how this education affects their overall satisfaction and their ability to manage their diabetes after leaving the hospital. The goal is to see if better education can empower patients to feel more confident in managing their diabetes during recovery.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be adults over 18 years old who have undergone surgery and have been diagnosed with diabetes. Patients should be awake and able to return to the clinic for follow-up visits. Those who are unconscious or need to go to intensive care will not be included, nor will those who choose not to participate. If you join the study, you can expect to receive tailored information about managing your diabetes as you recover from surgery, which could help improve your overall experience and health outcomes.
