ClinConnect Summary
The THRiVE Pilot study is designed to help newly separated veterans transition from military to civilian life by improving their mental health and reducing the risk of suicide. This program, called Transition Health and Resilience Through Valued Experiences (THRiVE), will test how well a small group of veterans can support each other in addressing mental health challenges, including feelings of sadness or thoughts of harming themselves. The study aims to see if participants find the program helpful and if it leads to positive changes in their mental well-being.
To participate in this study, you must be a U.S. military veteran who separated from the military within the last year, at least 18 years old, and have access to the internet and a private place to join online sessions. The study will last about five months, during which participants will fill out surveys to track their experiences before, right after, and three months after completing the THRiVE program. It's important to note that individuals with severe mental health issues, such as certain substance use disorders or high risk of suicide, will not be eligible to join.
