ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how two different exercises affect muscle activation and vertical jump height. Researchers want to find out if a short, intense cycling test called the Wingate Test is better at improving jump height compared to a traditional weightlifting exercise known as the back squat. They will also look at how long participants should rest after each exercise to achieve the best jump height and what individual factors might help predict who benefits most from the Wingate Test.
To participate, you need to be a healthy adult aged between 18 and 65 with at least one year of experience in back squat weight training. Participants will visit the lab three times: once to provide consent and measure their maximum back squat weight, and twice to perform the exercises and measure their vertical jump height. This study is currently recruiting participants, and both men and women are welcome to join. If you're interested in improving your athletic performance and meet the eligibility criteria, this trial could be a great opportunity!
