ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the "CareAide® App," a tool designed to help people with conditions like high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, and high cholesterol remember to take their medications. The researchers want to see how well this app works for patients and healthcare providers in a primary care clinic in Malaysia. They will look at how easy it is to use the app and how willing patients are to adopt it. The trial will compare two groups: one that uses the app and another that does not, to see if the app helps patients stick to their medication routines better.
To participate, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have been diagnosed with high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, or high cholesterol for at least six months. They should have difficulties following their medication schedule and must own a smartphone to use the app. Participants will attend follow-up appointments, have blood tests, and share their thoughts about using the app in interviews. It’s important to note that this trial is not yet recruiting participants, and certain individuals, such as pregnant women or those with specific health conditions, will not be eligible to join.
