ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying different methods of regional anesthesia to help manage pain during and after breast surgery, which includes procedures like breast augmentation, removal of fibroadenomas, and mastectomy. The trial is specifically looking at two types of pain relief medications, liposomal bupivacaine and ropivacaine, to see if they can reduce the amount of pain medication needed after surgery and to evaluate any side effects that might occur. Researchers will compare several techniques used for delivering anesthesia, such as paravertebral block and intercostal nerve block, to find out which method works best for pain relief.

To participate in this study, you need to be a woman aged 18 or older who is scheduled for one of the mentioned breast surgeries and in good overall health (classified as ASA physical status I-III). However, if you have allergies to local anesthetics, are pregnant or breastfeeding, have serious heart or lung problems, or have certain other medical conditions, you may not be eligible. If you join the study, you will receive anesthesia when you arrive for your surgery, and your health will be monitored throughout the process to ensure your safety and comfort.
