ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a treatment called auriculotherapy, which is a type of acupuncture applied to the ear, to see if it can help reduce pain after carpal tunnel surgery. Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a condition that causes pain and discomfort in the hands and wrists, and many people undergo surgery to relieve these symptoms. The trial will specifically look at patients who are having this surgery and are over 20 years old, have never had auriculotherapy before, and are not involved in other clinical studies.
If you or a family member are eligible to participate, you can expect to receive either auriculotherapy or a placebo (a treatment that doesn't have any active effect) after the surgery. The goal is to find out whether auriculotherapy can make recovery more comfortable and improve the overall quality of life for patients. It’s important to note that this trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to gather valuable information that could lead to better pain management options for those undergoing carpal tunnel surgery in the future.
