ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating the effects of a special digital game on a touchscreen table designed for elderly people with Alzheimer’s disease or related conditions. The goal is to see if playing this game can help improve feelings of self-esteem and reduce anxiety, which are common challenges for those living with these cognitive disorders. The game, called 'Le Village,' allows up to six players to participate together in fun exercises that stimulate memory and other important mental skills.
To qualify for the trial, participants must be at least 65 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease or a related disorder. They should also regularly attend the day hospital at Charles Foix Hospital and be able to give their consent to join the study. During the trial, participants will engage in group or individual sessions using the interactive digital table, which aims to make cognitive exercises enjoyable and more engaging. This innovative approach offers a non-drug option to support emotional well-being and cognitive function for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
