ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how increasing physical activity and stopping evening snacking can improve health in young people with prediabetes. Prediabetes is a condition where blood sugar levels are higher than normal but not high enough for a diabetes diagnosis. The study will last 8 weeks, and young participants will be randomly assigned to either a group that gets support to exercise more and stop snacking at night, or a group that continues with regular care.

To be eligible for this trial, participants should be between the ages of 12 and 18, have a diagnosis of prediabetes, snack frequently in the evenings, and not get enough physical activity. However, those who have diabetes, serious health issues, or are pregnant won't be able to join. If you or someone you know fits this description, this trial could help explore ways to improve health through lifestyle changes.
