ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how a method called motivational interviewing can help improve the health and well-being of patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), a lung condition that makes it hard to breathe. Researchers want to see if this approach, which encourages patients to talk about their health goals and challenges, leads to better outcomes in how patients feel and manage their condition.

To participate in the study, individuals need to be at least 18 years old, able to read and write, and have been diagnosed with moderate to severe COPD (known as GOLD Stage II or III). They should have been receiving treatment for COPD for at least six months and must own a smartphone for online interviews. It’s important for potential participants to be free from serious hearing or vision issues, as well as any history of serious mental health conditions. If you join the study, you can expect support and guidance through conversations that focus on your health, which could help you manage your COPD better.
