ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how fear of anesthesia and surgery can affect pain control and recovery after surgery. Researchers want to understand if patients who feel anxious about anesthesia experience more pain after their surgery and how that affects their recovery. The study will include patients who are scheduled for surgery between January 20 and May 30, 2025.

To participate, you need to be at least 18 years old and scheduled for surgery during the study period. You'll be asked to give your consent both verbally and in writing. If you're a minor, have trouble understanding the questions, or cannot provide your consent, you won't be eligible to join the study. If you do participate, you can expect to fill out some questionnaires before and after your surgery to help the researchers learn more about how fear affects pain management and recovery. This trial aims to improve care for future patients by addressing these important concerns.
