ClinConnect Summary
The eDoula Feasibility and Acceptability trial is studying a new app designed to support expectant mothers during pregnancy and after delivery. This app, called eDoula, provides helpful reading materials and videos tailored to each mother's due date, along with guidance for the postpartum period, which is the time after giving birth. The study will first talk to women who haven’t used the app to understand their experiences with labor and satisfaction. After that, they will recruit participants to use the app and share their feedback through a survey after giving birth.
To be eligible for this trial, you should be a first-time mother (nulliparous) with a single baby (singleton pregnancy) and able to communicate in English. You’ll need a smartphone or device that can download the eDoula app and be delivering your baby at least 36 weeks into your pregnancy. However, women planning to have a cesarean delivery or those with certain pregnancy complications are not eligible to participate. If you join the study, you can expect to use the app and provide your thoughts on how helpful it was for your pregnancy and postpartum experience. This trial is currently recruiting participants, so it's a great opportunity for those who qualify to be part of something that could help future mothers.
