ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how effective lavender herbal tea may be in helping people with misophonia, a condition where certain sounds can trigger strong feelings of anger and anxiety. Misophonia can significantly affect daily life, including relationships and work. In this study, participants will be divided into two groups: one group will drink lavender tea for 14 days, while the other will be on a waiting list. The researchers will gather information about how the tea affects symptoms of misophonia, anxiety, and depression through questionnaires.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be at least 18 years old and experience strong reactions to at least three specific sounds. However, individuals with allergies to herbal teas, those currently taking certain psychiatric medications, or those with other chronic conditions won't be able to participate. This study is important as it explores a potential natural remedy for misophonia, which currently has few effective treatment options.
