ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how counting fetal movements can help pregnant women with a condition called placenta previa. Placenta previa occurs when the placenta is positioned over the opening of the cervix, which can lead to complications during pregnancy. The researchers believe that by encouraging women to monitor their baby's movements, it may improve their connection to the baby and reduce stress, knowing that their baby is active and healthy.
To be eligible for this trial, women must be between the ages of 18 and 45, in their second trimester of pregnancy, and this may be their first baby. They should also be able to read and understand Turkish and have good communication skills. Participants will be asked to keep track of their baby's movements, which is a simple and inexpensive way for them to engage with their pregnancy. This study is not yet recruiting, so it’s an early-stage trial, and more information will be provided once it begins.
