ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a technique called neurofeedback, which uses real-time brain imaging to help participants learn how to control their brain activity. Specifically, the trial focuses on a part of the brain called the medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) and aims to see if training this area can help people feel more positive and hopeful about the future. Participants will either receive the actual neurofeedback training or a sham (inactive) version to compare results.

To join the study, participants should be healthy adults aged between 65 and 74 years, with no history of brain injuries or mental health issues. They should not be taking medications or using drugs that affect the brain. Those who participate will undergo MRI scans while they engage in activities designed to help them learn to improve their brain function. This trial is currently recruiting, and it provides a unique opportunity to explore how we can enhance positive thinking through brain training.
