ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking into how telehealth services—medical care provided over the phone or online—can improve access to abortion care during the first trimester. Researchers want to understand how these services affect the timing of care, costs, and follow-up support. They are particularly interested in whether telehealth can reach people who face greater challenges in accessing healthcare, such as those from low-income backgrounds, people of color, and immigrants. The study will involve 2,000 patients who are seeking medication abortion care, either in-person or through telehealth, to gather their experiences and preferences.
To be eligible for the study, participants must be currently seeking or about to receive medication abortion care, either in-person or through telehealth. If you join the study, you'll complete surveys that will help researchers learn more about how to make telehealth services better for everyone. The trial is currently recruiting participants of all genders, aged 18 to 50. This research aims to ensure that telehealth can be a helpful option for everyone, especially those who have faced barriers to healthcare in the past.
