ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how ultrasound can help identify endometriosis specifically in the uterosacral ligaments, which are important structures that support the uterus. Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of it, causing pain and other symptoms. The goal of the study is to determine which ultrasound features are most helpful in confirming the presence of endometriosis in these ligaments during surgery.
To participate in this trial, women aged 18 to 50 who have been diagnosed with endometriosis and are planning to have surgery may be eligible. However, those who are post-menopausal, have had a hysterectomy, or are currently pregnant cannot take part. If you join the study, you can expect to undergo an ultrasound before your surgery, and the findings will be compared to what doctors find during the surgery itself. It's important to know that this trial is currently ongoing, and they are not recruiting new participants at this time.
