ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how an 8-week aerobic exercise program, paired with synchronized music, can help improve mental health and cognitive functions in medical students. The researchers want to see if this type of exercise can reduce psychological stress and enhance attention and thinking skills among students who may not be very active. To participate, students should be medical students who are willing to join the exercise program and have been identified as having low to moderate physical activity levels. Participants should also be able to complete a treadmill test successfully. However, those with a recent history of major depression, substance abuse, or serious health issues are not eligible.
If you decide to participate, you will take part in 24 exercise sessions over the course of 8 weeks, with each session lasting about 40 minutes. You will be randomly assigned to either an exercise group or a control group. It's important to note that participation is voluntary, and you can choose not to take part at any time if you don't feel comfortable. This study aims to provide valuable insights into how exercise can support the mental well-being of medical students.
