ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at different methods to correct myopia, which is a common vision problem where distant objects appear blurry. The study compares three techniques: SMILE (a minimally invasive surgery), ICL (a lens implanted inside the eye), and the new Wavelight Plus Alcon system. The goal is to see how safe and effective these options are, as well as how satisfied patients feel after the procedures.
To participate, you need to be an adult between 18 and 40 years old with a specific level of nearsightedness. You should have had stable vision for at least a year and be willing to give informed consent. People with certain eye conditions, those who have had previous eye surgery, or women who are pregnant or nursing cannot join. If you decide to participate, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about each method and help researchers understand which might be the best choice for correcting myopia.
