ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a treatment called TECAR therapy can help women who experience stress urinary incontinence and vaginal relaxation syndrome. Specifically, the study involves 40 women aged 50-60 who have some challenges with urinary leakage and vaginal tightness. Participants will be randomly divided into two groups: one group will receive TECAR therapy along with pelvic floor exercises, while the other group will get a sham (inactive) treatment and the same exercises. The trial will assess improvements in pelvic floor muscle strength, urinary incontinence symptoms, and sexual satisfaction over an 8-week period.
To be eligible for this trial, women need to have had at least two pregnancies, be sexually active at least once a month, and have normal test results for vaginal health. However, women who are pregnant, experiencing vaginal bleeding or infections, or using certain medications will not be included. Participants can expect to attend sessions twice a week for 8 weeks and will complete surveys to track their progress and any changes they experience. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into new treatment options for these common issues.
