ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether ultrasound can help detect thyroid problems in unborn babies from women who have thyroid disease. The researchers want to find out if they can diagnose any thyroid issues early on by measuring certain parameters of the fetal thyroid using ultrasound. This study is specifically looking at women between 14 and 37 weeks pregnant who are generally healthy and have uncomplicated pregnancies.
To join the study, participants need to be women aged 18 to 45 who can understand Italian and are willing to give their consent to participate. They will be followed for the entire pregnancy until delivery. However, women who smoke, have certain health conditions, are pregnant with twins, or have specific fetal issues will not be eligible. Participants can expect to undergo ultrasound examinations during their regular prenatal visits, and their contributions may help improve understanding and management of fetal thyroid health in the future.
