ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of adding a medication called Dexamethasone to a type of pain relief technique known as the Erector Spinae Plane Block (ESPB) for patients undergoing total hip replacement surgery. The goal is to see if this combination can help reduce pain and improve recovery for people with hip arthritis or related conditions.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be between the ages of 65 and 100 and scheduled for a total hip arthroplasty, which is a surgery to replace a damaged hip joint. They also need to be able to understand the study and share their experiences with the research team. Participants can expect to receive either the standard treatment or the treatment with Dexamethasone during their surgery. This trial is currently recruiting, and it aims to help improve pain management for older adults after hip surgery.
